$5m FOR AG LEADERSHIP
Applications are open for the $5m Leadership in Agricultural Industries Fund to develop leadership capacity and capability within peak industry representative bodies. Consortiums can apply.  The grants can be used to fund activities such as professional development, training courses, webinars or strategic planning activities. NUFFIELD APPLICATIONS OPEN
Australia’s pre-eminent agricultural scholarship, the Nuffield scholarships – offering $30,000 bursaries for international study – are now open. There is a range of specialised scholarships for ag industries as diverse as banana-growing to eggs, aquaculture to cropping, vegetables, red meat, dairy, pork, wine and cotton. GRANTS FOR SUGAR
Grants of up to $100,000 are offered to growers undertaking new ideas to help meet water-quality targets. The Wet Tropics Sugar Industry Partnership (WTSIP) is delivering the program on behalf of the Australian Government through the Reef Trust III initiative to improve water quality to the Great Barrier Reef. The national Food & Beverage Industry Awards reward best practice and innovation in food and beverage manufacturing, large and small. A new category for 2017, Paddock to Plate, celebrates companies sourcing product direct from the producer and maintaining freshness while meeting a consumer demand, such as longer shelf life and/or ease of preparation and cooking. RABOBANK FARMER PROGRAM OPEN
Applications for the 2017 Rabobank Executive Development Program are open, with applicants accepted from across a range of commodities and locations in Australia and New Zealand. NATIONAL AG OPPORTUNITY
Applications are now open for the $14.9m national Farming Together program. This Federal Government initiative is a two-year campaign for primary producers and processors to collaborate and claim marketplace power.
Any Australian citizen who farms within the ATO-recognised guidelines can register to receive a free one-on-one consultation to discuss their opportunities and appetite to create a successful collaborative group.  This could be either as a co-operative, as a collective bargaining entity or as a less-formal collaborative group. Existing groupings may also apply.
The most promising groups will be offered assistance for product research and development. Areas that are covered include advice on marketing, capital-raising, packaging, logistics and exporting as well as non-ongoing consultancy appointments. More? www.farmingtogether.com.au or 1800 00 55 55.

EXPORT GRANTS AVAILABLE
Australian Government grants are available to promote cooperation in accessing international markets. Applications may be submitted for projects valued from $55,000 to $1.65m (GST inclusive). There are no set funding rounds and applications for program funding can be submitted at any time until 31 December 2018 or until all funds have been allocated. More? HORT COLLABORATIONS SOUGHT
Horticulture Innovation Australia is seeking expressions of interest for its Australia Fresh Collaborative Market Development Program (AM15004) to support organisations in creating customer loyalty and sustainable market growth. The program is open to Australian organisations responsible for the market development of Australian horticulture to collaborate to develop and implement activities that deliver measurable results. The Australia-India Council offers grants of between $20K and $50K for projects which aim to promote long-term contact and cooperation between Australia and India. R&D GRANTS UP TO $60K
The NT Innovation grant scheme provides up to 50% support for eligible projects, with a small number of grants worth up to $60K (exclusive of GST).  Eligible areas include technology, science and engineering and funds can be used for building prototypes, R7D trials and feasibility studies. NT SUPPORT GRANTS
Matched-funding industry support grants help to develop agriculture, horticulture and fisheries industries. Applications are sought from incorporated bodies and legal entities, local partnerships between private enterprise organisations or NT-based not-for-profit community organisations or groups and local governments. Applications from individuals and individual businesses can be accepted if they show significant economic development benefits to the region. Support can be in-kind. WESTERN AUSTRALIA 
WATER REBATE SCHEME
The WA Department of Water is offering help for commercial farmers in a dryland agricultural district receiving less than 600mm average annual rainfall through the Farm Water Rebate Scheme. it is designed to encourage commercial farmers to develop additional farm water supplies. You must first have a Department of Water (WA)-approved farm water auditor visit your farm and complete a farm water audit. More? Farm Water Rebate Scheme.

UP TO $300K for WA PROJECTS
WA’s Royalties for Regions initiative offer two types of grants. Funding ranging from $20,001 to $300,000 is available under the Regional Grants Scheme while up to $20,000 is available for the Community Chest Fund. AID FOR FARM IMPROVEMENTS

FLOODPLAIN GRANTS

Young primary producers in Queensland are being offered start-up loans of up to $2m. The no-fee, to interest loans are available for terms up to 30 years. To be eligible you must have lived in Queensland for six months and hold 50% purchase equity, or 50% of set-up costs for leasing/sharefarming.
